A volunteer station is a public agency, secular or faith-based private non-profit organization or a proprietary health care organization that accepts the responsibility for assignment and supervision or RSVP volunteers.  Each volunteer station must be a licensed or otherwise certified agency as required by the appropriate state and local government. Stations are required to provide a written description of their needs and volunteer’s duties to be kept on file at the RSVP office.
